A few quick hitters off of these numbers ;
* With the problems in net, Colorado's defenders are going to need to make more of a contribution offensively if the team is to succeed this season . John- Michael Liles has 7 of the team's 17 points , an unspectacular total .
* I don't expect the Rangers Dan Girardi to keep putting up 12 points every 18 games or so, but if he's on your waiver wire he's not a bad pickup as he's not getting them in bunches but rather consistently . Wade Redden has not yet got comfortable in New York (see Chris Drury through 20-25 games in 07/08) and Michal Rozsival still cannot hit the net with any regularity .
* Dallas got Sergei Zubov back this past Friday and he's jumped right in playing 20 plus minutes a game . The points will come and I don't expect Stephane Robidas to hold the top spot on that club for much longer .
* Saw Drew Doughty of the Kings twice in the last week . He's going to make the mistakes of youth but offensively he's very advanced for an 18 year old . He's not going to be available on your wire, but the window on acquiring him reasonably in keeper and dynasty type leagues is closing quickly .
* Phoenix has a lot to be excited about with their youth movement, but right now they're not getting enough from their blueline scoring wise . Keith Yandle with 6 of the team's 16 points is the current leader (Keith Ballard who was part of the Jokinen trade has 10 points to lead the Florida Panthers) . At some point I would expect a young talented forward like an Enver Lisin to be used as trade bait in order to bring in a puck moving defender .
